Prototyping by diamond machining

Thanks to its expertise in diamond machining, Gaggione makes prototypes to pre-validate an optical function. We have invested in a  Moore FG350 4 axis machine.

Production of a Fresnel lens for a solar concentrator.

Design and production of a linear Fresnel lens, length 80 mm (pitch 0.30 mm and depth 0.20 mm). The effective aperture is 50 mm for a magnification of 3.

This prototype was produced by ruling (linear movement of the tool).
